About Me

Welcome to my blog, I am Saida. This blog was created with the intentions of sharing all the things that makes me happy and inspired. I love creating beautiful things through DIY's and home decor. I started this blog in 2013, in hopes of sharing all of my projects, since then it's evolved into a place where I can share my thoughts, goals, and life scenarios as a homeschooling mom of 3.

I was born in Kenya, and moved to Denmark when I was a 6 months old. At the age of 18 I got married and moved to the United States of America. I had my first daughter Sakeenah in 2006 who was shortly followed by her sister Saffiyah in 2008. Although my first marriage was short lived, I grew up a lot and learned a lot of important life lesson, and best of all I was granted the most beautiful little girls to raise and love.

I lived life as a single mom for 4 years while, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I went back and forth on many ideas, mainly just because I knew I wanted to provide a beautiful life for my daughters where they could be happy and taken care of.  But when life is hectic and you're juggling many things at once by yourself, it can easily become overwhelming. I was so blessed by God who continued to send me help through friends, and family, one verse that I always tried to stick close to was "And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed it is difficult except for the humbly submissive" (Quran 2:45)

Through lots of prayer I found my husband Isaac in 2013. Isaac was truly the answers to my prayers, even the ones I didn't make, but that only God knew I wanted.  He's was my motivation for starting this blog and helping me grow into the person that I am today. His support and drive for life is an inspiration that I get to be blessed with everyday.

In 2015 we welcomed our little boy Noah. He has been the joy of our lives. And the girls adore him. I spend my days homeschooling my daughters and living our quiet little life here in North Carolina, as I try to make our home our little paradise on
earth.
