2016 First blog of the year!

Hey readers,

I can't believe it is already 2016, haha <---- cliche blogger line right? But in all seriousness, I have been so swept away from the blogging world due to all of my life's treasures. I can't even begin to express the gratitude and feeling of being showered with ease and happiness and love. I'm just so grateful to Allah for allowing me to experience this life and for keeping my heart grateful.

As you guys know I had a little baby boy in August of 2015, he's kept my heart and my hands full. And he's stealing his sisters attention all day. Luckily we were blessed to be able to homeschool them this year, and I say that because homeschooling really does require a lot of time. I don't know how I have been able to do it while also tending to a new baby, but it's being done and I couldn't be happier to have all my little cubs right with me at home.

So in 2015 we also moved, I never blogged about it because I was pregnant, but I do think I've mentioned it somewhere on here. Anywho, I never really felt moved in. So I've started to finally decorate and organize. Check me out on YouTube where I will be sharing a lot of home improvement videos.

Although I took a semester off, to get back on track. I feel like I could use a semester or two more off, but let's be real by now I can pretty much multitask to the extreme so why not add on two classes to what I'm already doing. That's right, back to being a student, but I must say I am enjoying it, and seriously guys when you deal with diapers and dolls and elementary studies all day, I have to admit it's quite nice to pick up a Macro economics book and feel like an adult. <---- I never thought I would say that line.

This year we will celebrate our 3rd anniversary inshAllah. I feel like time is flying by seriously, I've learned so much about myself, I want to start sharing topics on marriage more, not because my marriage is perfect, because it's not. But that's what makes me able to share. What I've learned. This is just one more blessing from Allah that I couldn't have in a million years put together myself. I know in the muslim community speaking of your marriage can be frowned upon, people will start to warn you against the evil eye. Or see you as bragging or showing off. But believe me none of those are my intentions and I'm not going to be afraid to share anymore because of what people may say or think. When I was divorced the one thing that gave me hope to one day be married again was reading and seeing other people happily married, and while I never thought their marriage was perfect, I admired the fact that they were happy enough to share their happiness.

This year I'm not setting any major resolutions for myself, sorry blog. It's never worked in the past for me. As a matter of fact two years ago I stopped doing New years resolutions and just planned to grow and become a better me, and as long as I was happy and seeing growth I had met my goals. Beyond that I do think it's important to live intentionally, not so much out of habit, so I do push myself to reach goals, but I don't set limits to where those goals may take me. Meaning if I plan to lose weight I don't set out to reach a certain number on the scale I just aim to live healthy and feel good about myself.

Let me know what you guys are upto this year, if you have a blog please share it in the comments :)
